This past weekend we played a double header.

Friday night was at the Coppertop with The Casket Kids, and Skeptic? from Birmingham.  The place was packed and gnawing at the bit for some raw action.  The Casket Kids rocked as always, and we have to say we all really like their new "look".   Good Job guys all around.  We were up next, and ended up having a rough show.  The A/C was broken so it was hot as hell, which made it difficult to concentrate and play with sweaty hands.  All in all though, we still put 200% into our energy and walked away feeling good about the performance.  Hopefully the few mistakes we made were unnoticed by the crowd, which is probably true because everyone was doing their damndest to avoid this crust punk kid with a studded jacket who at some point ripped open Jon's arm with it.  In fact you can see his bandage from the next night in a few our our photos on the "pictures" page.  It's a hard knock life for a punk band.
Skeptic? closed the night.  It was a treat to hear them for the first time.  Crazy Insane amount of energy and a sweet sweet old school sound.  Skeptic? came to us after the show and said they really really liked our sound and style, and will be contacting us to play shows with them in Birmingham...awesome!!!  We are looking forward to that.

Saturday night we played at Black Water Hattie's. Unfortunately, it was the smallest turnout we've had as a band to date, but we have to take it into consideration that it was memorial day weekend and people are spending time with their families, not to mention we just played the night before.  Once the show got started, the people that were there were very much in to the music and it made the small crowd seem 4x that size...so our hats off to the fans for making it a kick ass experience for us!
First up on the bill was Apathy Disorder.  Man, they have really stepped it up with their sound!  It's punchier, more straight forward and energetic.  They are a force to be reckoned with here in the H-Bomb.  They played a new song this time that really blew our socks off.  Great job guys!  Keep it coming!
Next up was Flux Capacitor Overdrive, which features local punk rock legend Jason Generic on lead vocals and guitar.  This 3 piece band has a sound so great and so unique it, it's hard to put it into words.  It's like old school surf punk took a Delorean into outerspace to meet the God of Rockabilly and then they had sex to make a love child...but found out that cars can't give birth so they went to Planet Awesome and Adopted 3 musical geniuses and named them all Flux Capacitor Overdrive so that everyone could name the band after themselves.  It's that damn good.  We look forward to our next time on stage with them.
We closed out the night with a very energetic and musically solid performance.  We definitely felt like we redeemed ourselves from the previous night.  It was a lot of fun.  So thanks to Black Water Hattie's, we have to say, we love their staff.  Super friendly attitudes, they love their local music...and they DO NOT FUCK AROUND!!  So don't be an asshole or you will get thrown out, quite literally.

I want to give out a very special thanks to Jason Generic from FCO and Adam Jackson from The Casket Kids for showing us constant support for us at almost every show we have played.  You guys are local punk rock heroes to us and it is an amazing feeling to know that you dig our sound enough to come out and raise your fist with us every time.  We owe you guys a free T-shirt and a beer.  Hell, 2 beers!

And one more huge and happy special thanks to Amber Jones for setting us up with all of these shows and all of her tenacious support.  We are so lucky that she is with us and we would not have the good fortune of our following if it wasn't for her!  Happy Late Birthday Amber!
